Selling my HO layout

I no longer can keep my train set, but don't wish to just destroy it. Any ideas on how to sell it or pass it on to someone else? I have tried posting photos and announcements in local stores but no calls as yet. It is HO scale and 4' x 14' long. I need my garage space back.

I did the same thing with mine a couple months ago. My first suggestion would be to try and find a local model railroader in the area who may be interested. Or try posting a classified ad in your local paper.

Millenium Mike, what part of the country are you located in? Also, what type of layout is it? My guess is if you gave some details you might find some interest on this site. I am new here, so maybe there are rules about it that I don't know. But if you can post a description and the general area you are from, that might help (if you can't find someone local in the paper). Thanks.

You mentioned that you posted photos and announcements in local stores. Were any of these Hobby Shops? Sometimes they will take them as consignment and charge a per centage.
