Great news today from Fostoria ,Ohio
http://www.reviewtimes.com/
The long and the short of it is, our railroad park project is back on track . After many years of negotiation, the city signed the deal to purchase the property for the rail park. Within two or three years we should be up and running. We should have full access to the property within the next couple of months and we can begin assessing the situation for cleanup.
There are some great things on the horizon for railfans here in Fostoria.
The Railpark.
The movement and restoration of our 1881 New York Central Frame Depot
The acquisition and preservation of the former NYC Interlocking tower, first CTC installation in the U.S.
The Railroad museum.. we are looking into an adjacent property to the railpark, a beautiful, and large...former factory building
Stay tuned for updates.

Great thought. Here's an additional suggestion from someone with marketing experience:
Get a sponsor quick and get a web cam operational
now.
That way, railfans all over the world can follow the progress and Fostoria will have a ready-made fan base for when the park finally opens.
I stayed overnight in Fostoria three years ago on a trip driving east, and spent the next morning in the triangle by the Amtrak depot taking photos. I think I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express? Nice town, lotsa trains. Build the park and we will come.
