D&RGW ALCo Rs-3's

Can anybody tell me whether the D&RGW ran their RS-3's long or short hood forward, had dual direction control stands or converted them to one or the other during their working lives? I know some roads specified long, some short and others did conversions at some time but I've not been able to establi***he situation the the Rio Grande...

My best bet is that they ran them long hood forward because that was the standard from ALCo and it was a specall order to receave them otherwise.
