Verry odd photos need information

While surfing the net I have came upon two unusual photos. One is a newer photo of a reconstructed old railroad accident in the Gare Montparnasse Station. The other is I think a train boat thing…

I believe the bottom photo is of a self propelled diesel car on the Netherlands state railway.

Yes but that dosen't change the fact that it is floating on the water. And it has a pantograph. I have seen other pictures of this before and yes the train is floating. Here is a link to a bigger picture.

The top picture is quite famous as an example of what the immortal Homer Simpson would describe thus: D'OH! As for the bottom photo, it looks like the car has been loaded on a barge for movement some where not directly linked to the Eurasian rail network.

A Dutch railcar being transported on a barge, one pantograph is up, behind this coach are the masts of sailing ships, where is the problem?? other than it's a great looking railcar.

A lot of problems. 1.) What is with the recrated mock up train crash 2.) That barge dosent seem to be a rail barge After close inspetion it looks like the railcar is attached to the barge. (If it was just for transport why would you need stares on the barge to get in the car? 3.) Where would they be takeing the barge to? My thought is that the railcar has been turned into a boat.

I recognize the sailing ships are flying a national flag, but dont know those colors.

The second photo is not a recreation its obviously a photoshop.

The second is a EMU attached to a barge. Somebody bought it and is using it as quarters (business or otherwise). So?

Whats the big deal???

P.S. Seems to be flying a Dutch flag (Netherlands). Definitely not French.

The Dutch RDC looks nice, but the top photo does'nt make sense. I am not a scientific person, but how the heck would a heavy steam engine not break the bottom wall? Did it magically jump toward the window, lmao![^]

I don't know about the top 2 pictures, but I can tell you about the bottom one :

The picture was indeed taken in the Netherlands, in de city of Stavoren in the northern province of Friesland.
The train you see is a modified train, which has been lifted on top of a barch, which was just a publicity stunt by the Dutch railways.

The train is modified, since you will not see a train like this in the Netherlands, most of what you see is correct, however one end of it has been modified to fit it with a cab. Typically you see 3 or 4 of these units all together with a cab on both sides of the entire train, not on both sides of every unit.

The modern train crash is not Photoshop this is a coment I saw somewhere elce on the internet "That photo is taken from the front of an amusement park/store in Branson Mossouri. It is part of the Ripley’s Believe It or Not chain of attractions.
Every 10 minutes there are loud speakers that play a crashing sound and the smoke stack puffs a huge plume of smoke to draw attention to the building just off the highway." I hope they diden't use a real steam locomotive to make this.

Then why did you bother asking here if you knew?

I went by the damage on the building being unrealistic (perfectly cut guardrails, the intact window on the building, etc..).

Its obviously not a real wreck.
