  • did the santa fe run f-7's c units and 2-4-2's at the same time?
    while were on c units i would like to learn more about them.

  • I doubt any CF7s ran with steam as they were rebuilt from worn out F7s

  • the CF7 was a rebuild program during the 70s (I think), by then ATSF (like all railroads) had stopped steam at least a decade ago.
  • ATSF steam had pretty much vanished by 1954, although a small number of 4-8-4's and 2-10-4's continued in irregular service for traffic peaks until 1958 or 1959.
    The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul
