I started with my grandads Ives, Then my dad added lionel in the 50's. Always small spaces, small layouts, so 027 worked out best. But, WOW, you sure can, and need to, cram as much track and accessories onto that board as possible. I've got about 70' of 2 mainlines, 12 switches, and plenty sidings on a 3' x 14' super landscaped L shape in the bedroom. I waited my whole life to play with this layout, and morning and nite is just fine. Keep adding little by little, and am now looking for #'s 2434 & 36 silver Pullman cars in exl condition to finish off my steam passenger route. The ads in mags just don't list pre-war like they use to. Suggestions for sources? Any other 027 buffs out there?
