I do not understand how to get an avatar. Or how to get my picture there. I'm probably just overlooking it.... Can anyone help????

No Avatar but you can post a picture in your sig. The picture will have to be "hosted" on a website, you can't just do it from your computer. Once you have the picture hosted on a website you link to the pictures URL and add the img and /img tags.
