milw diesel whereabouts

Anybody out there seen an ex milwawaukee diesel in some of its original paint (blackberad or otherwise) that is still operating? I know CP still has MP15s at St.Paul and Chicago, but what about the rest of the fleet Soo aquired?
Repainted? Retired? Sold?

There are still a few GP40's running around in transfer service in the Chicago area that are still in MILW paint. The SDL39's all went to Wisconsin Central and are now operating in Chile.

The SDL39's were scrapped. We see many bandits here in Minnesota and teh #261 operates around here too.
There is also a museum with a painted RSC2 I believe.

What are you talking about!!!!!! The SDL39's were not scrapped they were sent down to chile. CN sold them there and they have now become 5 foot gauage instead of 4 foot 8.5.

There is a couple Milwaukee road SD10's that were sold to a shortline and thankfully they are running, Believe it or not there going to paint them into there original paint scheme, Milwaukee road. The cite is. http://www.whitewatervalleyrr.org

The CP also owns a bunch of milwaukee road items such as GP40's and 35's but most have been scrapped.
In Maine there is a tourist railroad that owns milwaukee road RSC-2 #988 and is running.
The Northshore Senic railroad in Duluth owns milwaukee raod boxcab #10200, unfortunantly it is not running and probably will not run again.
There are still a few milwaukee road passenger cars around such as the milwaukee road Super Dome. Look it up on www.ozarkmountainrailcar.com
Its quite a cite and that car is for sale.
There are still quite a few more such as the little joe located out in Deerlodge Montana and the Bipolar that is located somewhere along the great lakes.

That may be true but how about RSC 2 running at the midcontinat railway museaum in green bay. Also the North shore senic doesn't own the box cabs the Lake Superior Railway Museam owns them, the north shore dosen't own ANYTHING, it's just a name which is run by a substiary the Duluth and North Shore Railroad, of the Lsrm, so in essance the nssr is only a turm used to discribe the passenger operations at the museam. YOU WORK THERE I CANT, BELEIVE YOU DIDN,T KNOW THAT.............................. Ever look at the orginization that pays you............ As for these two arguing, let me straighten it out.

The boxcab, #10200, is owned by the Lake Superior Railroad Museum, formerly Lake Superior Museum of Transportation. It will NEVER run again, but if you have $1,000,000 fork it over and we may be able to talk.....lol
There are some Milwaukee Road coaches floting around MN behind the #261. There is also a Milwaukee Road super dome car for sale.
I hope I straightened out this mess of info...lol

Thanks for the info guys, anyone know where some of the units are stored? I've heard Thief River Falls is a CP dumping ground, is that correct?
Oh and I don't know about others, but I'm just here for fun. I can't belive how worked up some people get over nitpicking trains. Aren't there more important things to be angry about, like Bushs rail passenger board trying to kill amtrak any way they can?

I have not heard that about theif river.. there are still alot of POS ex-MILW GP40s in the area.. of course MP15s also... doesnt the DME have or used to have some ex-milw sd40-2s???? they are scrapping there SD10's as we speek.,

The SDL39's (the remaining ones) were sold to Fepasa in Chile. You can view the pictures at http://www.fepasa.cl/ (you will see a picture with this:Nuestra empresa en Imagenes) click that link and you will even see a picture of one of the WC's SDL39's being put onto the ship to transport them to Chile.
So...were they scrapped? NO end of story

Nope. Too much work. You would have to replace the trucks, ship them ALL the way from Chile, probably do the truck swap IN Chile, get it certified by a Class1 for interchange and alot of other things.
