People Filter (Serious)

  • As a rail photographer, have you ever wished for a "people filter"? Here is one; or at least, one which is close.

It appears that the background should be rather "regular", judging by the examples given. Anyway: http://news.com.com/Photos+Microsofts+snapshot+eraser/2300-1016_3-5869333.html?tag=nefd.ac My preview indicates that not all of the link was included in the URL; you might need to copy'n'paste this one.

If you read the emails associated with it, it appears that the software is from China and/or may be associated with a presentation given at a technical society (Siggraph) and may or may not have originated with Microsoft. In any event, it's interesting.

  • basically you can do what you want with Photoshop or some other graphics program. I thought you were going for an internet filter that would block the truly ignorant and their comments. There is no way to fight ignorance with logic. If a person thinks it is ok to make a right turn from the left lane logic isn't going to convince them and the only hope is a reduction in the gene pool. Same with those that think they have the solution to passengers trains and or Amtrak.
  • I hate "Human Interest" in my train pics, but don't do any computer stuff to them. Oh well....
