No parking issues in Milwaukee

To all Milwaukee area railfans, especially those who like to watch trains at Waterford Ave. in Milwaukee. Recently , the city has posted 'No Stopping' signs at Waterford Ave. Are you as shocked and upset as I am? I enjoy taking my daughters (ages 7 and 5) down to Waterford to watch the trains go by. It is a great bonding experience, especially when their grandfather comes along. He brought me to Waterford when I was their age watching the twilight days of the Milwaukee Road. I especially enjoy being able to watch the CP Christmas Train there. With the new parking regulations, I can get a ticket for watching trains with my kids. What is the reasoning for this? If you live in Milwaukee, contact your alderman. To find your alderman, go to www.milwaukee.gov. If you live in the area of Waterford Ave., the person to contact is Ald. Terry Witkowski, 414-286-8537. Let's pressure the city to try to find a more resonable solution here than some tough minded approach.
