Prototype crossing signal wiring directions

I am new to this site but of course not new to model railroading or the magazine and was wondering if anyone could provide information on this subject. I recently acquired a prototype crossing signal bell to go with my previously acquired crossing signal and cross bucks and am aware that they used 16 volts direct current to power them from batteries. I was hoping someone could provide a wiring diagram along with a list of parts needed to make the signal functional again. I heard the power supply needs to be heavy duty to supply both the lights and the bell because of the amperage draw so I assume this is correct. I understand the flasher unit can be purchased at Radio Shack or other electronic parts stores. If anyone can provide such information I sure would appreciate an email to my account at leolaushman@yahoo.com or a post to this message. I will try to check in regularly here but I can get pretty busy so the email is best. Thanks again for any assistance.
