Hello,
I've recently assembled a "Senior Twice Around" similar to the layout on Atlas #5. I used what nickel/silver that I had and used brass for some of the pieces I didn't have yet. One of those pieces was a brass 30 degree crossing 4" long. Everything ran fine.
After a trip to the train store, I picked up a N/S 30 degree crossing (Atlas Item #173) and took out the old brass one. After hooking everything up with all N/S the engines stall at the 30 degree crossing.
Can anyone help? I'm unfamiliar with using "insulators", but I'm thinking that may be the problem. Or I was unlucky and got a poorly made Atlas 30 degree crossing.
Worst case, I yank out the N/S crossing and reinstall the old brass one which worked fine.
Thanks in advance and please take it easy on me as I'm new to the hobby.
Thanks
