I agree with ya on this issue. The SD50 was a horrible locomotive and so was the SD45. That was EMD's weakest "inovation" I think. The problems these engines had w/ cranks going 24/7 were just down right terrible. Plus the SD50 dosen't even meat TEIR 1 emissions, I don't know how the "SD50MAC" is going to meet TEIR 2 EMISSIONS. This is so becuase, EMD might have to sick a 710G3C ES, under the hood rather than a modified 645F3B to meet TEIR 2 emissions. Then they might as well call it a SD70ACe.
