As a child, my dad, who worked as an Engineer on the CSX for 41 years, instilled in me my love of trains. When he was studying for the Engineer's exam in 1973, I helped him study for it. I jokingly tell my wife and kids I was probably take and pass the old C & O Engineers exam. My kids also developed a love of trains as well. My daughter walked the picket line when the BLE went out on strike in 1990, at the age of six weeks of age! Her son, my grandson, also has a deep love and affection for trains. He loves going to watch the engines at the ready yard in Russell, KY. 4 generations of train lovers in one family.
