I appologize if this offends anyone, that is not my intention.  I figures that since there are bound to be many rail workers or workers whose jobs revolve around railroads someone on here might know of someone that is just the person I am looking for. FYI I’m a Recruiter (sometimes called staffing specialists or "head hunters") and I have a rail related job opportunity, so I thought I would post it here as my usual sources (monster, LinkedIn) haven’t found the person I need yet.

I’m looking to fill a Director of Engineering position for a company in Greenville, SC that makes parts such as brakes for the rail & mass transit industry.  I am looking for someone with a Manufacture engineering and or Design engineering background.  Any experience in two or more of these would be ideal, AAR, ProE, AutoCAD, project management, electrical engineering, brakes, dynamic brakes, windows and trim.

The responsibilities of this position include managing teams of engineers to design and the manufacture of off the shelf and custom components and systems including brakes, pneumatic/hydraulic lines, automatic doors and actuators, traction motors, etc... for clients in the railroad industries both foreign and domestic.  Will be responsible for managing a budget, training individuals, engineering sign offs, etc... This person would report to the Managing Director.

Bachelors degree required, Masters preferred in mechanical engineering or related.  Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar profession, 10+ preferred.

If you or someone you know would be interested in the position please email me at my work email edward.torockio@tristar.com

Thanks, and please don’t flag me
