Photos and recollections of steam @ Pinehurst NC in the mid-to-late 40s

I spent near a decade growing up with the trains at Pinehurst during the mid-to-late 40's. We had 2 pufferbellies(2-8-0s) and then in the late 40s diesels took over. I recall a siding leading to the laundry which used several coal cars a week. My Mammy's husband worked for the hardware store unloading feed and goods from several boxcars a week, and there was a steady flow of goods at the Railway Express Agency. I did some odd jobs at the Pinehurst Outlook which had a bowling alley on the premisis. There was, at the head end of the yard a "Hobo Haven," a spot where a flatcar of red clay tile was scattered in the trees. If you have photos of this era I would love to recieve them, as my collection of boyhood photos went away during a divorce.
