Does any one out there have a restore quide that will show a noice how to paint a plastic or metal train with an air brush?. I have few cars that i would like to try to restore any idaes . I new to this forum. Also what is the best way to add road bed to the standard post war lionel track Cork vers rubber?. Homostote vers indoor out door carpet . let me know thanks.
Especially if your a novice at restoration, I would find out the value of the items you have as they are now before doing anything to them. An old used car, engine or accessory in "fair" or "good" condition with original paint and lettering might be worth more than one that has been repainted / restored.
In a situation where something would gain in value by being restored (by replacing missing parts etc.), it's usually worth the money to take it to an experienced restorer.
