  • Defiant,
There are so many that you might be better off to try to narrow the field a bit. Particular railroads, name trains, geographic areas, etc., etc. Before you know it you will have more to look at than you have time for. Even after much culling it seem as if I always have 50 or more in my "favorites" at any given time.

Good luck, I'm sure you will be getting lots of leads form this posting.
  • If you are interested in a particular railroad(s), then check out Morning Sun or one of the other book publishers. Most of these books are an excellent source of photos, most in color. Some books like "Conrail Consists" by Jeremy Taylor(?) contained a wealth of information on train consists, origins, & destinations. I prefer books or even videos for information, since once it's in my library, it can be accessed any time of the day or night and isn't subject to the constant changes of the internet.Good luck and enjoy yourself.

  • If you are looking for something very specific give google a try and search under "images" that's got to be the best place on the internet for finding generic pictures of anything.
