scanner freq. CN/McTier subdivision

  • Just moved to a new address near  CN tracks & not too much activity.

Can anyone tell me scan freqs, especially voice detectors between Gravenhurst and Huntsville, Ontario, if any.      Only get the two Ontario Northlander psgr trains and maybe six freights a day.

  • The 2006 Canadian Trackside Guide (two years old) lists the CN line between Washago and North Bay as the Newmarket Sub. A detector is listed at MP 151.8 and also at MP 210.3.
The standby channel is/was 161.415, and the RTC call in is/was ch 4, 160.665.

  • Many thanks Dale..........I don't know why I mixed up my subdivisions.          I live in Bracebridge MP 122.1      I found an old CN timetable (1986) and the detector you mentioned (151.8) is north of Huntsville, so don't know if I can pick it up from Bracebridge         Quite busy right now, but will be trying out my scanner in a few days.          Thanks again.
