I have never delt with lionel track 3 rail systems before.. can someone tell me how to isolate a section of track between two straight foeward manual switches left and right I dont understand where I need to put the isolators to do this its driving me mad and so is my son! any help greatly apprciated

I'd love to help, but I'm not exactly sure what you are doing. I also model the 3 rail system and since the two outer rails are the same juice, I generally omit the center rail "pin" which then makes the track "dead", of course, if the track is connected at both ends, You must disconnect both center pins at both ends, and then add a feed wire from a block switch to add electric when needed.
