Custom electronic question

I am trying to design a new detection unit with possibly a flash unit as well, and would like to get some input on what people would like to see on this board. I do have a degree in elecronic engineering, so I am a professional. Maybe instead of buying two of three different boards to have them all in one, passing savings down to the consumer. I would ideally like to have them in stores and catalogs, but need to have them designed and build soon. (for upcoming train shows) Any input in tp what other modelers would like to see in the elecronic boards. We want something made by modelers for modelers. Thanks!

I think you need to consider if it will be DCC and DC compatible.  It needs to be plug and play.  It needs to be able to drive several LEDs at possibly multiple locations like a dispatch board and a master location.  It also needs to drive signal circuits for one way and dual direction.  All that should probabloy be modular also.  Can it also have a PC dispatch program?
