  • The 844 and the 4449 will be at 3330  20th St. East, Fife, WA.   This is just east of I-5 at exit 136 (if north bound on I-5 use exit 136A, southbound only has one exit ramp at exit 136, southbound traffic take exit 136 use left turn lane to cross over fwy) on east side of fwy turn right on 20th St. East, you should be able to see the locomotives from 20th St.  the times listed are return at 5:00 pm both Friday & Saturday, on display all day Sunday and Monday. Departs Fife 8:00 am Tuesday to begin return trip to Cheyenne, WY.

  • There are photos and comments on UP844's trip north on Saturday, May12th on the web site of the Olympia Model Railroad Society.  We had several members in different locations taking photos, along with some members of the Olympia NMRA Clinic group doing the same thing. More photos will be posted as they become available.

  • There is an update to the web site in the previous post. When the SP4449 and UP844 headed south to return home on May 22nd, a video was shot as the train roared through South Olympia, Washington.  Be advised...the video is a 17 meg download with sound and is 43 seconds long.  However, if you like steam like I do, the download time may be worth the wait. The video link is at the bottom of the UP 844 special page.

    Thanks.
