  • Breaking news: My computer is now on windows XP.

I'm not sure it can handle it....I can't install my wireless net drivers, so I'm coming to you from on top of the freezer in the coldest corner of the basement. By the window. And the vacuum. Sitting on a very uncomfortable chair. I also can't get any sound. And occasionally the screen disappears. And my mouse is visible about the half the time....

On the bright side, I just made it to 40 at RP. http://www.railpictures.net/showphotos.php?userid=9296

Plus I've got a fair 25 rejected photos lingering around ATM...

  • They say that a picture is worth a thousand words. If that is true then that movie clip is worth pages in the scrapbook of stupidity.

  • We never get snow days up here in Canada....ever...we haven't had a single one this millenium. Even back in 2003 (what a wacky year) when it snowed a couple feet, and I had to dig a ravine into the snow on my front lawn that was 4 feet deep in places. Many buses stopped running, and one person came into class 3 hours late, having walked ten kilometres from his house when he discovered that his bus wasn't running.

    Snow day? Hell no.

And when I say 2003 was a wacky year....

It was the hottest on record. It got up to nearly 50c (Which is something like 110~120f) while I was in England, and 3 days after nearly a week of above 40c highs, it snowed. A foot. In the middle of summer. Snow isn't THAT unusual in June, July and August, but that soon and that much after it was that hot...plus, it stayed for four or five days, which was quite a suprise.

some pictures taken with my new digital camera....

P&W 4002 (8-40b)in the lead of an unusually short southbound NR2 blasting at a good 30 MPH down the groton side of the thames river....

P&W 3904 (b39-8) switching th north end of plainfield terminal on a foggy morning.

4002 again heading towards the grade crossing at plinfield. i was trying to run backwards, hold the camera steady ( i love image stabalisation), and not trip on something all while trying t get a good shot, LOL. Thats what i call multitasking....
