Coal movements

  • Hey!

Just wondering if there's any coal movements on Colorado's Joint Line? Like for example.. on the Moffat Line loads go east, and empties go west. Is there anything like that on the JL?

  • I've heard BNSF ships a lot of coal from Wyoming to Texas on the joint line. Most of it goes east to Northport, Nebraska before going southwest to Denver. From Pueblo, most of the loads head south on the former ATSF to Amarillo, while most of the empties use the former C&S / FW&D between Amarillo and Pueblo.
