NYC Subway Network

  • Is the NYC Subway rail network connected by any means to the northeast corridor line i.e. Sunnyside area, or the LIRR. If not how come I saw some NYC subway equipment on the LIRR lines on NYC subway.org, and how did they transfer the equipment.

  • I don't know of a Sunnsyide connection (which doesn't mean there isn't one).

There's a connection in Brooklyn with the New York Regional Rail (the old NY Cross Harbor).  From there, they can technically get to anywhere on the US rail system.

  • The South Brooklyn RR is an MTA subsidiary which serves the Coney Island Shops and connects with LIRR.
The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul
