Detroit's Michigan Central Station has been unused and neglected, much like many other landmarks in Detroit.
It is apparently a location for a movie. In the past week on the local news there was a video clip of the filming of Steven Spielberg's Dreamworks Productions TRANSFORMERS. A lone actor was shown running into the desolate Michigan Central Station in the video clip. It is the finalie of the movie.
A web site states that it would take over $200 million to restore the MCRR Station. Is it worth it?
What new business on site would make that much money back in a reasonable amount of time?

One of the websites to see is Forgotten Detroit.

Another Detroit Website stated that on February 24th, 2004 it was announced by the Mayor that the Michigan Central Station would be renovated to become a new Police Headquarters. It has yet to happen. Turning an old building into a new police station sounds like a cross between Nash Bridges and RoboCop: the TV Series.
Found the Detroit News article. This is a link. It also has a seperate photo gallery.
