Pulsating Ditchlights?????????

  • Is there a reason that NS and CSX's ditchlights pulsate "FLASH" when they approach a crossing. Because UP , BNSF, CP, and CN's ditchlights dont pulsate.. Is there a reason for this?

Also, while I'm trying to post a new thread here, it seems like something highlights the links around that page, and it confuses me and makes it hard to type, has his happend to you?

  • Its railroad specified. The lights are always on, bt will flash when the bell is activated. DMIR did this also.

  • I thought it was FRA specified, not railroad specified.

I know that VIA Rail's P42s are so equipped to make them suitable for cross-border service.
