the new GEVO

    Does anyone know how the tests of the new GETS GEVO locomotive are going, or what the projected cost of the locomotive is?

    No idea on the cost, but can give you some info on it:

    Loco model: AC4500CTE
    Power: 4,500 traction horsepower at full throttle
    Engine: 12-cylinder GEVO (not sure of designation)

    UP is testing a group of these locos, might buy a few, and BNSF might also take a look (second item is pure speculation)
