I really hate any engine from the late GPs and SDs as well as all Ges after U-boats. If it can come with a safety cab I hate it. [:(!]Alcos, any model, I love them[:I]. BL2s rock. GP30s with their brutish looks are sweet. CF7s are awesome oddballs. Oh and Sharknoses are the best. [:D]Can anyone get pictures & info on the ALCO Black Marias? [?]Post a site if you find one.

My current favorite is a little more involved than what is probably coming over these pages. I like a LOT of diesels but I love the looks of the SD-90 series. I think all the relatively new engines; AC series, SD 60,70,80 and 90 series all have great lines. Overall though, going back a little before the 'modern' engines, I'd have to say the SD-40-2s were my all time favorite. I like the 'porch' look combined with the trucks under one of these beasts making it look like it was working hard even standing still. Watching them heading up a freight at speed was a thing of beauty.
