CN/UP in Central Wisconsin

I live in Marshfield, WI where there is a CN mainline running through the middle of town. Lately we been getting 40-50 trains a day. My question is why have there been Union Pacific engines pulling with the Canadian National Engines? Also, sometimes there have been just Union Pacific engines too?

Im not going to take the time to answer the question in depth, so would you please take a look at the other orums and you will find more than enough answers.
Its called horsepower payback. UP/CN will use anothers loco, then however long they used it, they will have to send one of their engines to CN/UP to use. Its the same for all railroads. This is very GENERAL.
