So i had the pleasure of riding in the CP 6060 yesterday.. and probably tomorow too.. but any way.. were these units rebuilt? Beucase there is a little plac in the cab thats says "proudly built in 1998 by the ogden shops" or somthing along those lines.. now i know for a fact these things were not build in 1998... so ya.. also i really liked the cab layout.. it had the third seat in the middle like the new units.. and they were bolted to the floor with air ride control.. very nice...

It was not a complete rebuild. The 6060 came from GMD 1-85 with a CTE of 71,000 lbs and the rebuild added Positive Traction Control boosting it to 82,500 lbs. I believe the PTC was developed by CN and Vapor Corp. I'm sure there were some other things done as well.
This may be when Safety Reset Control was added as well.
