Thanks..."Nightrain" is a song by the band Guns N Roses, if you heard of them, and it happens to be my favorite song. Even if its about cheap booze, I can hear in the cowbell lines of the drums, it sounds like bells for a crossing gate to me. Of course "Loaded like a frieght train..." caught my ears as well...Not sure why. AFD is the album it came from..Appetite for Destruction, and it was released the year of 1987.

Now...back to trains. I had to make a correction, it I guess was an "AC4400W" for the GE model. The older GE's I can make out the differences, but the DASH9's and AC4400W, and the like all look the same to me.
I also would like to learn how to tell what model comes by with listening to the horn. Being a musician I would love to know more, in what I should be listening for when it comes to a DASH9, vs an SD40-2. I always wondered what pitches associated with which engine. Another talent I could learn while I am around

CSX and BNSF as far as I noticed runs mostly GE's. I have seen an occasional EMD in the fleet but they don't come around that often

This morning I was on the phone with my mom and she had the nerve to tease me saying she just now saw a Yellowbonnet pass by the house. I was torn.

Alec- You are quite welcome. When it comes to trains I have lots of appreciation for all that are running. Those EMD's look just as good as when they were on the ATSF fleet

yeah there really inst that much to post to.

As far as identifying GE's..the electric boxes are only on the conductors side of the loco. I think anyway, if they were facing toward the engineers side of the cab I wouldnt be able to see whats what right?

This is my fist time on this particular forum, as usually i am on the Model Railroader forums.  But, some old guy on the general discussion forum said that ALL teens were stuck behind the tube playing video games.  I said thats not true.  So maybe a few of you guys could go over there and reiterate what i said.  The name of the thread is 'Another Garden railway in MR'.  I think the comment was on page four.

Man, nice shot! You've got me drooling all over the keyboard here, that is one NICE consist. Now if only something like that would makes it's way this direction through Wisconsin when I was railfanning an ex-WC line.......

The reason it resembles WC's scheme is because Ed Burkhardt, the old WC president, is now with the MMA. They even have red and white logos!
