  • Kevin apparantly you don't get it -CNW 8575 was the LAST CNW STANDARD CAB.That literally represents CNW from the 1950s (GP7) until the 1990s (DASH8-40C)
  • So what if they repainted it?
UP OWNS IT, IT IS THEIR RIGHT TO DO SO
Yeah, myabe there is a bit of history, but what can you do?

  • Alexander- Kevin is my first Oskar is my middle.

Dingoix- yes I do understand it was the last standard cab C41-8 or C40-8(I saw C40-8 under 8575's number in December 04) but still some people are taking it over the line. Like Lord Atmo look what he put under his post Ugly Pacific? with a 'suspension' logo over the UP and says ''Patching America'' that to me is way over the line for a little thing and so is many other people. I don't see people complaining about UP having no MKT's left or MP. Or NS having no Conrail marker lights on their engines some what everybody has to get onto the UP and what they're doing. I do like seeing Chicago & North Western engines but not a big fan like I am with CSX,NS, and FEC their just a RR company for something like that to happen and make a big deal about it is very imature. If it was like 9-11 I would understand that was a real big impact on our Country and hopefully never happens again. This is just my 2 cents once again.

Um..save it? Your attitude just amazes me. You sound as if history shouldn't be preserved at all. "Oh no, that factory should be torn down and rebuilt as a commercial district, not a museum!" - That's the kind of attitude you're conveying. These sort of units aren't replaceable. Once they're gone they're gone FOREVER. Not coming back. A non-renewable resource. (Especially with the business tactics that you encourage)
Of course, if you live in Buffalo Bill's house, it's YOUR RIGHT to tear it down
If you own the Rocket, it's YOUR RIGHT to sell it for scrap.
If you own the Sistine Chapel, it's YOUR RIGHT to whitewa***he ceiling. (Okay, there might be a law against that...)
The point is you have the right to do a lot of things that aren't exactly ethical.

  • I will ignore that remark.
  • I will ignore the double post.
Why make a statement if you're not even going to defend it?

  • Nah, Western shouldnt be degraded. It can go to the chatroom on my forum?
    Alexander
  • Why do you always want to take it to forums on which you have admin power? You seem to not want to be defeated. It's either somewhere you can delete my posts, or somewhere where my posts don't remain.
