  • Well, here is some shots of Bob Rivards work. The first is at New Brighton ( wow, does it look a lot different back then, double main, then after the diamond to the east is a pocket track, whew) and the second is approaching Cardigan Junction.

  • Hey there everyone, what's going on?

Not much going on here in australia, i am going to go to school soon, but we got sport in the afternoon.
On Sunday i wen't to the Model rail Club, and had a look, there is about 10 layouts, and some being built.

nssr9169: In your signuature there is a line that says Each day the sound lessons.....the scrap piles grow.....and the torches grow hotter.....while their numbers dwindle....as the MIGHTY 645's make their last charge into the sunset........

Please forgive my ignorance, but what does that mean?

  • The 645 is the engine inside of an SD45. The SD45's, as im sure you have read on here, are being retired, as they are getting rather old. Plus CN wont, and doesnt want to maintain them.

I actually meant how old are the SD45's
    Thanks
    Alexander
  • The SD45's are atleast or over 40 years old and most are getting retired and scraped like the WC and in the 1990's CSX. Heck only 3 Class 1's have SD45's BNSF, CSX (SD45-2), and KCS (SD45-3T). MRL has SD45's also that is not a Class 1 along with many leasers.

  • Green over Red- Medium Clear and probaly going to the next track ahead.
Yellow over Green- Medium Aproach? switching to 2nd switch ahead after first.
Yellow over Yellow- not sure but goes to next track then switches to the last track going to the right or going to the 1st switch to the last one.

I'll give you the first one. It is a diverging clear. letting the train know that he will be going on to a diverging route other than the main. the other two you have wrong. keep trying.[:-,]
