AND THERE IS CTC SIGNAL BLOCKS
  • Well, lets see here.

    The atlas was 95 bucks
the DMIR SD38 was 62 bucks
the Detriot & Mackinac was something like 12 bucks
    the LBF was around 10
The two WC hoppers were spendy, about 28 bucks.

Ya, Dan Mackey seems like a really cool guy, i mean, he likes the WC, not many people THAT cool lol. James, take them pictures!

  • I got pics of his layout. Here ya go:

Two WC units pulling a logger:

A BRASS brother of the Schnaubel, although not Dan's:

    Small grain area:

GBW RS27 and mighty WC 645 thunder by:

A FEW of Dan's EXTRA locomotives,All the CNW and SD45's are WC:

Believe it or not, WC actually had one of these units:

ONE of the power facilities where power sits until called out on a train:

ANOTHER Power Shop, this being the main roundhouse:

ONE of TWO MAJOR yards on the layout, notice the upper level, giving you the slightest idea of its size:

  • Ya that about sums it up but, The layout cannot be seen through the pictures to get it's full size. The pictures give you an idea. The yard shown in the picture above is about 14 feet in length. Anyway You saw a small posrtion of his locomotives. He has 6 SD35 high nose units. The ones with the EMD lettering on them. All black.

Nice buys on those locomotives there Alec. The prices were quite nice looking. Now you need to fade the FRV on your SD24 and put the WC reporting marks on.[^]

    YOU got screwed big time.

Seriously dude you might want to do something about that. I'm surprised the parents are not mad with the BOE about that schedule. geez I will be into about month of my summer break. You also have only 45 days (I think) compared to my 53 days (as of 5-22).

  • oh sure go a head and rub it in for the kids who had 60 degree weather in the middle of January in Maine !!!!!!! And I'm not kidding.. we had a mild winter up here only 4 snow days.. Hey any of you know of the wiseman's tale were a bees nest is built close to the ground it will be a mild winter? Well gess what it is true.. My uncle found one up to my grammy's house in Febuary.

  • Heck we had 2 ''snow days'' in September after Hurricane Rita came through Texas. So GA Gov. Sunny Perdue made it maditory for schools to shut down for 2 days to save energy. We had a not-so-cold winter the lowest it got was 30F I think.

  • Wow, he sure does have realistic units. That WC 6660 is a work of art. He has some nice GP30's, nice CNW patch jobs, man, he is *** good. 724 even has the SOO red on the rear of the engine. Looks like a fun place to go. Now he just needs to ballast and put some grass in eh?

  • I wish Max had gotten Dan's CTC area and the second yard which is the biggest. The CTC area has the grass, trees, landscape and even a really cool bridge. Max next time get some of the other features.

  • Oh ya I forgot to mention.

    I HAVE A BRASS ALCO S6 BABY!!!!

Not even Atlas makes the S6. The Northern Pacific only had one so I've got an unusual locomotive.
