[soapbox] Cry me a river [soapbox]

I'm crying you a river right now. wahh.

Any way I've decided to go and buy myself a C30-7 from broadway limited. What it in the BN scheme for my coal train hauling. Otherwise, there isn't much to say. And for those who mad at this forum I don't blame you but you have to relize that it's getting closer to the Summer season and many people are getting busier and busier so they don't have alot of time for there hobby. This is why I have not been on here regularly every single day. Business to atend to first.
So everybody needs to cool down and start a new conversation that would get people interested in this forum again. And like mister man above, quit screaming at everybody to stop and start something interesting. If you have a good Idea post it, and then just maybe a conversation will start again.

  • Hi all-

Anybody remember me? Sorry for my abrupt and long absence, but my reject computer modem went dead and stayed that way this time, leaving me without phones, internet, and television. It's incredible....so we left Time Warner Cable and switched to AT&T.

I now have High-Speed DSL and am working on catching my photos up on rrpicturearchives.net . There's got to be over 200 photos to make up, most of which were taken over my spring break.

Oskar- Recently on CSX, I saw CSX 5001 twice and caught new CSX ES44DCs # 5300, 5303, 5325, 5331 and 5332. Sparkly and new, just how I like it!

Anyways, I'll catch ya'll later as I have uploading to do. See ya!

So cool it! I'm not trying to be mean here. I'm trying to help. And by the way try using some manners, like thanks for your help but we can handle it or something nicer. I'm not a gang member for goodness sakes. [V]

  • Yes I can forget the Cry me a river.

    Plans for the railroad.
I am going to be adding to the yard. I'm adding my roundhouse and then a spur to the molten sulfur plant.
I've got to get to work on my yard B which is the smaller of the two yards I have. I'm going to be adding a third track to the yard so it can hold more railcars.
I'm hopefully going to be adding some scenery to my layout. Here are a couple pictures . You can still see yard A and yard B.

Yard A is the bigger of the two. The Sulfur spur will be added to the top of yard A and The round house that is sitting there is now being renevated.

This is yard B The third track is going to be added on top. The Tower is going to be moved to the top left hand corner and a small wood pile will be added along side the third track being put in.

  • Has any body got hasseled by the law lately ????over a year ago a freind and i were taking photos from a public road of a freight yard ,that was behind a chain link fence, and we were stopped by a local policeman and had to surrender our drivers license whale he radioed in the infromation and had to hang out for over 20 min. whale dispatch checked us out... a very unconfortable experience i have since found out this is an violation of my civilrights>>>>>glennbob[B)][B)][xx(][V][:O]
  • Hello Rick I was wondering where you were thats cool 5300's are coming out and are running all over but I haven't seen one.

Saw 1/3 of CSX's YN1 Monified C40-8's # 7509, saw a NS SD40-2 on 97G in Austell with a M5 horn, and saw my 1st Mexican engine Ferromex AC4400W 4526 thats some you missed while your computer went down.

well tommow is the CRCT (BIG test in Georgia) Math test if I don't get a 300 or above I fail the 8th grade so pray that I do well and I will not know if I passed or failed until before or after the school year. so I need to try to lay back and take it easy for the next 11 hours including sleep.

  • Oskar- Congrats on your sighting of the FXE!! I have yet to see one...

On 4/1/2006, I saw the 7588 and on 5/7/2005, I saw the 7587.... So I have seen two of the modified ones...

Speaking of horns what's up with CSX 674's, if you've heard it? It sounds like a C40-8W...

    Well, gotta run!!

  • Richard! Good to see another one of the originals back. It's been a while since we've seen you, and now we know why!

Alec, I noticed that Chris deleted his account here at trains.com for some reason, although I still see him around the rp.net forums everyonce and a while. Too bad he's not around really.

There's a chance I may go railfanning this weekend if the weather keeps looking up. The plan is for a friend and I to head down to Dubuque and then work the BNSF C&I sub over to Rochelle. We're hoping to pop into the hobby shop that's closing there and see if we can get away with any last minute deals, and then maybe onto the UP a little. Might catch the WSOR JC train too if we can help it. Of course this is all weather depended, so I'm just hoping that it stays with the prediction of mostly sunny. Hopefully I'll have at least a few nice shots to post (although I'm still working on getting my shots on line from my railfanning trip during spring break......)

    Noah
  • Well well well, Noah speaks! Hey guys, i ACTUALLY DID GO RAILFANNING! Yup, i got a call about 2 SOO SD60's runnin by my house, and decided to rally up the troops (my uncle lol) and go shoot em. Heres a couple. Enjoy!

I'll still be working on my layout. Hopefully I'll have all the track laid by the end of summer. Sometime in early May I hope to get all my benchwork done.
  • Rick- no I haven't there are alot of engines that have different horn.
