TEEN RAILFAN PLACE-LET'S TALK TRAINS! Thread Locked

  • I guess i didn't know that these cars were from Australia. I hadn't notice that you lived in Austrlia. I just thought they would look quite weird here in the USA. I don't know about trains in Australia so,...........I'm in trouble aren't I [:(][:(][banghead] I guess I will sign off for a while.

    Sorry

  • Sorry ive been gone lately, Ive been busy with a bunch of things. I just bought The Godfather for PS2 and its a pretty good game. No railfanning due to school also.
Richard-Not bad, but one thing you'll need to know, is they tend to accept the first one to get you hooked, and then shut you down for the pettiest things. Only submit ones that are close to perfect.

This was the day before RW.
Jim was running the 192. The Lester went to Lester, came back, Jim shoved in and picked them both up.
Rengo came and checked over the units first.
Did the runaround and then they left.
I would know, I was right there!

  • well guys I had a interesting day at school today. We had a bomb threat around 1 today so we had to go to the football field and sat there for about an hour while they checked if there was a bomb in the school. If there was a bomb in the school and the school went down it really wouldn't matter the school is getting teared down after about 80 years in the current location. A new school is getting build no more than 2 miles south from the old location.

  • 80 years? It's fine..our school is older than the Titanic by a couple of years..and I think this computer is too! 'Course the school board is getting in trouble because two schools have been evacuated because of fear of the roof collapsing under snow..WE NEED SOME OF THAT OIL MONEY!!!!
So I'm wondering if there is a new photo location that nobody's discovered near my house, but in reality the bridge is probably in the way..I'm thinking about taht because I'm wanting a 400mm lens for my camera..that would be incredible!

  • What a boring day it was. There were only 2 good parts and they were when 1) I found out I got a 100% on my 100 item vocab test, which was pretty hard and 2) got to sit next to, and talk to Gab during a movie we watched in English class. Nothing much else to report here. Have a good night everyone.

  • Alec - I have been on railpictures.net for several months but just now got my first acception. So, yes, I have been trying. Just got another rejected for being a roster shot coupled to a front unit.

Oskar - Fortunately, well unfortunately, we have had no bomb threats at my school. The reason that I said "unfortunately" is because, hey, at least you skip class : ) !!

Yesterday I got a 100% on one of my algebraic math tests. Which was pretty hard and also not mentioned in my latest post. I forgot, it was also an addition to my good day.

Eric - Were've you been lately (probably at your forums). If I get a chance, I'll probably call you tonight. Unless you give me one of the "can't talk"s'.

Anyways, talk to ya'll later..... -I seriously need better endings to my posts

True enough about RP.net, roster shots anyway have to be perfect, but the more creative you get the more than are willing to bend a little. PS- In the past 30 days, I've had 5 photos of the day at RP.net

One the down side, my computer just broke, for the thousands time, and I hoping my photos haven't been lost! I back them up on CDs on the first of every month so that means I could lose all my shots from March! I guess this would count as my first negitive experance with digital.
  • Well I'm back. I am truely sorry for what I did. It won't happen like that again.
Anyway I have finally decided to what college I'm going to. The University of Wisconsin Superior. Here I will learn on the railway transportation. Canadian national Helped build the university and if I pass the classes and graduate CN hires on the spot. But I'm thinking of going to the DM&E or the TC&W.
I would like to run the SD70ACe. The DM&E has ordered a few of them for there coal hauling thats coming up very soon.

Where did you get the info about DME purchasing the ACe's? But I guess it makes sense, since they're upgrading their tracks for the project.

I hope they will be able to get the funding, to boost the economy and all.
  • You need to go to there website and they had a message to the crew members about the new line that was going up for there coal hauling projects and the locomotives they had bought from other lines and the locomotives they had ordered for that area. This was the site with there whole locomotive roaster. But they have sold or scrapped most of the milwaukee road locomotives they had owned and allot of there locomotives are being upgraded to a higher power. After the project for completing there line for the coal trains there going to be a class 2 railroad. Pretty sweet!!!!!
SD70ACes were on there list. [:D][:D][:O][:D][:D]
There nice coal hauling locomotives with the power of 2 SD40-2s combined. Not just in power but in tractive effort and the ability to haul. 4300 horsepower!!! pretty nice. 300 thousand pounds of tractive effort per square foot.
