  • Heh, so I was right about it being a GP40, huh? I WIN!
Yeah, so not much to report today, but I've been having a lot of luck with the girls lately! The hottest one I know gave me her address without me even asking for it! I totally win! And then I lost at math becasue I didn't have time to study..

    Hey Will [8D]

Is poling still practiced in Canada?

It is outlawed in the US. [:0]

  • Rick- the NS 9900 engines are C40-9W. The 7500-7564 are ES40DC's

    kevin
  • Richard- Thats just what the MILW did.

Max- The patch is not in the form of a engine, but its a real "patch" like something you sow to something. I might sow it on hat.

Not much to report, just im glad it FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3 day weekend for me, got BBall games on sat, on Sunday i go to the Timberwolves game, and on monday, probably gonna go biking.

  • Oskar- Actually, NS 7500-7614 are supposed to be ES40DCs. Although, I don't think that all of them are built yet. I like how NS made their logo smaller on the ES40DCs. It looks beautiful! Can't wait to see another painted one that isn't primer.

Well, goiing to Berea tomorrow. My camera's battery is charging as we speak (well, type). Can't wait! Last time I went it was a disaster, nothing rare. Plus, this is kind of funny to watch on my video, but my video camera was filming and a gush of wind blew it over while it was still filming! It caught it on tape.

Well, I can just think....If I ever edit and release these films, at least I'll have a blooper real (spelling*), LOL. Although, thankfully, my camera was okay.

I have already commited the "all railfan" crime of dropping my little camera (Kodak C300). It only got nicked but still works perfectly. Except it runs out of batteries frequently because I turn it on when the train is at least a mile away. (Hey, it's hard to work a video camera and snap camera at once!).

I'll check back to you tomorrow and tell ya'll about my day.

  • Hey guys,

Not much new from me. I am hoping to tackle working on the module a little more again tomorrow, as long as I don't go railfanning anywhere. It's supposed to be a halfway decent day, but I don't know if I'll actually get out anywhere or not.

And, it's Friday, which is always a good thing. I'm hoping to get down to the NMRA monthly meeting on Sunday too, it's been a while since I've been to one and I'd like to get to one again.

Otherwise not much new, so I think I'll head out. I might have some photos of the module by the end of the weekend too, depending on how much progress I make this weekend.

  • Have I ever told you the story of when I dropeed my camera? Well, I was up on the cliffs at Exshaw, reading a MR under a tree and waiting for a train to come along when this wind gust comes along and I watch the tripod with camera slowly..tip..over and go crashing down the cliff. YIKES!! I thought it was dead for sure, it went halfway down the 40 foot cliff! SO I climbed down and fetched it back up, which was a bit worrying, and so I went to test the camera, it wasn't working! So I thought my mum was going to kill me!! But then I jsut discovered I put the film in incorrectly. So I put it in right, tested 'er out, looked back and there was a train, and I was 40 feet and a retaining wall away from where I should be! So I bolted back along the top of the wall (Which has nothing on either side because of highway improvments) to the little bit of knobbly that I take my pictures from, and quicly snap this.. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b274/trainboysd40/AC4400andredbarnexshaw2004.jpg
Too bad the composition suffered as a result, but the camera was fine!

  • Good Morning everyone,
Nothing planned yet for today, so I will see what happens along the road.
    Colin from prr.railfan.net
  • My earliest time ever going to Berea! We're leaving at 9 am. Of course, there is one stop to pick up new tapes for my video camera. But we'll still get there sooner than usual.

Oskar- I saw NS 7544 and 7553. Both in primer. So obviously they have been ordered, just not painted. My Kerr roster says they're going up to 7614 with the things.

Also, has BNSF, if you know, ordered any SD70ACes? Just curious. They are going to look cool in H3.

Anyways, I'll be back tonight and edit this post with info about my day and pictures. Enjoy!!

    .................

Back from my day! Enjoyable!!! Caught 38 trains! My new sig pic is the best set of power we had today.

CSX C44-9W, BN SD40-2, ATSF SD40-2, and four BNSF Heritage Three ES44ACs. 5900-5903. Fresh from the shops.

I'll let the photos do the talking. Just go to newest photos on my unicapital homepage, before 24 hours has gone by.

Another rare thing (I didn't get a photo of), was a GECX (ex - UP/SP patch job) SD40T-2. Nice looking for an oldy!

Talk to ya'll later and enjoy the pics!
