TEEN RAILFAN PLACE-LET'S TALK TRAINS! Thread Locked

  • YES,YES,YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!! I don't know how this happened even though I wasn't suppose to get The loco until March but........ Today I bought myself a U28B in the Milwaukee road paint scheme. Protto 2000!!! My word I have to say that they have Atlas beat out in there locomotives. ( I still like Atlas very much and will probably keep buying from them) This unit has so much detail and runs so much quieter than the rest of my units, it's unbelieveable!! I am so happy. [:D] Sorry If I'm glotting about this but it's great.
I'll post pictures of the unit. the best part is I made the rotary beacon on the locomotive actually work!!

  • Well, I am heading off to school. I am not going to say another thing about FORD. I hope it will not come back to this again.

  • To bad you have to go to school! I've had the whole week off. It's our winter break they call it. Sorry you had to go school.

  • It was actually fun today. The spani***eacher was out again, which meant that I had back to back study halls. No homework either, so I had an advantage today.

  • Sorry for my recent absence. I've been working on a roster of all of the loco's I saw on all railroads since May 1, 2005. My CSX roster is complete. I've just started the NS roster. CSX totaled out to about 700 locos.

In my opinion, let's create a truce here. This discussion (argument [B)]) of cars is really getting on my nerves. And like Chris said, we don't want this "TEEN RAILFAN PLACE" to get locked like the last one....then we'll have to start fresh all over again [xx(].

Colin- That little remark that CMSTPP made was taken way too seriously by you, no offense. You acted like he called you a s. o. b. or a m'er f'er. If you catch my drift. And to be honest, since I'm not a car fanatic, I really don't care which is better. I don't want to come on here and read about this crap when it's a train based forum.

My grandfather worked for Ford and my other grandfather worked for Chrysler. So, see, I have both in my blood and you don't hear me arguing about it! I'm not trying to act like I'm in control or anything like that, but please, this has gone on long enough (2 some pages).

Going railfanning this weekend if I bring "missed" school assignments home [|)]. Which pretty nuch sucks since other assignments are from last semester.

Oskar- Have you seen the CSX "Chessie" units (if I didn't ask already). I've seen 9121 and 9122. You've probably seen all.....

Well, heading out. Catch ya'll later!

  • That sucks for you o scale trains.
  • Ok, first off, Colin, the remark was made to me and Kale, not you.
Second, look at how mature we all are. We are settling this by oursleves. We have come a very long way since the first one! Mr.Berstrom would be proud.
BTW, I own a ford AND a chevy and they both run great! cept the chevy's eons old.......lol

  • Come guys it's "TRAIN" time.
Alright I just thought I would ask this. Does anyone here own a Nathan or Leslie horn.
I've always liked the Nathan P5 and Nathan K5LA chimed for Amtrak, and the common K3LA.
I've wanted to buy one of these horns, but since I've been watching these type of horns go for over 700$ I don't think I will be getting one in the near future.

here is a question I've been wanting to ask. It's kind of a trivia question. In railroad terms what does DTC stand for?

    Nothing new otherwise

  • Direct Traffic Control is also know as ''Dark Territory'' which is no signals on the line and the ditchpatcher gives them out to the train.
