TEEN RAILFAN PLACE-LET'S TALK TRAINS! Thread Locked

  • Chris, I live in PA. Love it here, because each season is unique, but my favorite happens to be fall, when the leaves are all different colors, and where the NS ROW is, there are a lot of trees, so it adds more character to a shot.

  • You got a snow day on a foot? HOW?? We haven't had a snow day for 10 years now, even that time there was 3 feet on the ground! And I hope this happens again soon! It's about 60f here (I think) but it's supposed ot get to -10 (as a high) by the end of the week.
on that test, I scored like total yankee. but then againj, a yankee is the same as a quickie except you can do it alone! :-P
Anyways, now I have to do a month and a half of math in a week, how screwed am I? oh man, quite screwed!

  • ey james... the CN doesnt use the GCOR.. they use the USOR! get it right.
  • LOL Will is right and since the DMIR is now CN, the DMIR uses USOR, ey.
    lol Matt no offense meant.
And James, you will not get your engineers card for at least 3-4 more years. So no RUNNING trains. You can conductor but thats it. No fireman till your 18 dar bud.

  • On the test, I got 34% dixie, I'm definately a yankee. Oh well, I guess I can't be one to be chosey (spelling*).

I'm a little "under the weather" right now and took yesterday (monday) and today off school. I have the normal head cold but with some aching in my stomach.

And by the way, considering I'm an eastern railroader of CSX, Norfolk Southern etc. , when did the DMIR go into the CN? I thought that it was still around. I know WC did in 2001, but when did DMIR go in? Just curious.....

Anyways, talk to ya'll later, hope I get better soon to go watch trains this weekend.....

  • Richard, if I'm not mistaken(And I might be) the DMIR was assimilated in 2004. Only now are the engines just starting to be repainted, a sad sight for those of us who like the DMIR.

Chris, are you an your dad still planning on comming to the Model Railroad show in Madison this weekend? If you are, and you and your dad would like to meet up with me sometime during the show, give me an e-mail through the button at the bottom of this post. I pretty much know when I'll be around now, so I can give you a good idea of what time to look for me around the club layout. I can show you my module, some of my rolling stock, ect, and we can meet in person. Let me know if you're up for the idea.

Not much new again, I've just got module work to do, along with a little homework. I'm going to keep moving.

  • Hey- Noah, I am not wuite sure if I will be at the show or not actually. I may, and I may not, it is still up in the air, becasue it depends if my dad;s freind is going, or me and my dad may be heading to Indiana this weekend...or we may attend the show. As soon as I find out the outcome, I will let you know! It ouwl be great to meet!

Richard- Yeah, the DMIR went to the darn CN in 04, but the landscape is really only changing recently...

  • About the DMIR, nothing has changed except for one repainted engines. The CN HAS to keep ALL the DMIR engines because no CN enignes have stright air.
Also, the DMIR is basically operating as a seperate entity, but owned by CN.
