Hello, i know ive been absent. The BN Did have straight SD60's too you know. 8000-8003.They then sold them to EMD again, and some are now Oakways i presume.
Today and yesterday i went fanning. Check my rrpicturearchives sites. The NorthTown one,CP in the Twin Cities and New Brighton 4. We had 2 NS units of the WC today. A D40-9W and a SD70. Saw a bunch of trains other than that, and my 3rd CP ES44. Seeya,

BN had SD60's 8000-8002 which are now owned by CSX.

ATTENTION- CSX HAS JUST GOTTEN 2 NEW F40's FROM OHIO CENTRAL they will be 9990 and 9991they were traded for CR 7133 and possible other locos.

YIKES! I got 86 total photos added to my unicapital website below. And man oh man were they some good stuff. The rarest thing today was GCFX 3072 the ALSTOM DEMO!! The one loco I have all of my usernames named after! I finally saw it!!! And caught it on film. Then I took a screen cap of it. BOGEEZES! That thing just popped out of nowhere without warning! Behind it was HLCX 9012.

But that wasn't the only rare thing. My third Chessie sighting (CSX 9122) occured while in the Collinwood Yard near Cleveland. I had a tour in the loco maintenance shop. CSX 694, 7324 (I think) and 7330 were all in there and a Dark Future that I couldn't get the number lifted up on a platform so they could do maintenance on the engines.

6 ES44DCs were spotted today. CSX 5201, 5214, 5279, 5263, 5237 and 5231. Man was 5201 and 5279 looking fresh. Then a NREX former UP rolled through unexpectedly. No pics or film of it though.

A CSX caboose with fresh ends was lurking at the eastern wing of the yard. It was with two CSX Geeps.

Oskar--GCFX 3072 was spotted at Berea, OH as of 01/29/06. Chessie 9122 was spotted at Collinwood, OH as of 01/29/06.

Glad to hear that about the new F40PHs. Can't wait to see em'. Haven't seen one yet.

Oh, and one last thing. I saw an NS GP38-2 and CSX C40-8 lashed up do yard movements together. Pretty weird for enemies.

On a UP AC4400...they label the unit as C44ACCTE, what does the CTE stand for?

Hey everyone, I'm back from Jasper! Saw some ES44s, some SD70s, some BC Rail, a WC SD45, lots of great stuff, and will post pix on wedneday or thursday!

Controlled tractive effort...not all UP's AC44s are equipped as such, but some are being reprogrammed. It means they can lower the tractive effort of the engine...so as not to break the train when pushing.

Rick- ok GCFX 3072 which I have seen 1 time is a pretty neat engine for a leaser or better color than the FURX,NREX,HLGX, and some HLCX's colors their red paint scheme is cool.

I have only seen 2 CSX's on NS one a C40-8W and a C40-8 its rare down here but neat to see.The wierdest switchers paired up would be a NS SD40-2 highnose and a BNSF SD40-2 to see BNSF or anything but NS (not including 4610,3329) VERY rare then NS switchers like the MP15 are also VERY VERY RARE.

CSX/Chessie System 9122 would probaly not end up in GA since from what I heard it mostly stays up in Michagan. I do remember my last Chessie 8629 on Q693 (which has had some rare stuff over the years) no camera either the sad thing is it was on the way to Waycross to get painted to CSX YN2.

Did you say that CSX694 is now in YN3!?

Oskar- No. But CSX 694 was in the repair shops getting work done to the trucks. The same with CSX 7324 and 7330. NS 3544 is quite interesting to say the least.

But Chessie/CSX 9122 was spotted twice here in OH. and CSX/Chessie 9121 was spotted once.

Yes-GCFX 3072 was nice! The first I saw of it! As I mentioned before and you may have noticed, my username was named for that loco.

Any info on a GSCX 7351? That surprise was getting fueled up here. Just curious.

BREAKING NEWS (unless you already knew):

NS is now in the 2700 series with their SD70M-2s. They are all primer so far. Just a warning.

Matthew- Congrats on going railfanning! I have yet to see the CP ES44ACs.

Alec- Nice NS locos on the transfer yesterday. Although, those types of NS locos are everyday power out here.

Anybody know what the M and MAC stand for in the SD70 and 60 etc. series'? I know it's probably a dumb question, but I could never figure it out. Thanks.

GSCX 7351 all I know about it is its SD40-2 and it has some other name somwhere on its body.

The new ES44AC or DC's for NS are also primer but theres alot of stuff thats primer for NS.

Dose anyone know if NS 7140 has a Horsehead on the NS logo or the Operation Life Saver logo I know its got the unibrow but dose it have a horsehead

Chris, Mi professora de espanol es maso-menos, es simpatica más del tiempo. Yo recibo un "A" en este semestre tambien. Me gusta la clase de espanol, es facil y divertia. Necesito mucho estudio para la clase!

It doesn't look like I got as much done as I have, but that's mainly because I've been working on structures the most, and I don't have them on the module yet. Hopefully by next week's update though I should at least have the yard office on there.

Well guys, I'm going to wander on out. I've got a little homework, and I've got to work on the module! Only 20 more days to go until the show and the group's big début!

I have just had an idea. Since I am not really big in HO, but still want to have a small layout, do you think a small switching layout would work for me. I was thinking about 1ft wide by 4ft long. If possible, I was going to add DCC to it. Any thoughts? Noah, what are the dimensions of your module. That might be a good size for me too. I plan to mount it on the wall using 2x4's.
