Well, this morning, I was told something sad.

My friend Nina, who goes to the same school told me that my friend Dan, who I have not seen in a while, had his dad pass about a week ago. She told me that he had a heartattack, and Dan and his sister pretty much watched him die. When I heard this, my heart just dropped. When I came home, I ran in the direction of my house, and gave my dad a huge hug as he was walking towards me. I did the same to my mom when I walked in the door. This is a time when I really need to let the people around me I care about them. So please say a prayer for Dan, his mom, his sister, and his dad, so he can be with God. He was a really nice guy, very kind.

Hey guys, I decided not to submit any of my Altoona shots, the lack of sun was killing me, but I got a couple shots worth keeping. So, in place of some new shots I've been uploading some shots from my slide flim days (which have only been gone for under a month).
The slide scanner I was using sucked so the quailty is pretty poor. I think I'm goning resubmit them again when I get a better scan. I hope to load my shots from California and Utah up in a couple weeks.

Hey I have to watch my favorite show right now, and I will not be on when I get home tomorrow. My dad is taking his Laptop to work, so I will have only dialup. I might go over to the library, get on the line there. Wish me luck on my exams. Maybe tomorrow I will be on.

Ohh my God, Colin, I am so sorry to hear that. Sad story...[V] Dan and his family are definently in my thoughts and prayers. Me and my dad are so close, we spend all of our weekends together doing all kiinds of train stuff...I cant imagine how terrible I would feel if I lost him, or my mom. I am really sorry to hear about what happended, Colin...

They have my prayers.

John, I actually had some neat railfanning on Sunday. Me and dad sat trackside ont the UPs Geneva sub..and I saw a GE AC4400 and other locos on a manifest, and then another AC4400 on a coal train, with an SD90...then we went to the UP loco shops, and I got shots of the United Way SD40-2, a UP Tunnel Motor, other stuff, I C&NW patch job, and an unpatched SP SD45. This weekend, I will upload them to railpics.

And, those are some fine shots you have on rp.!!!

Colin, that is a sad story. I'd feel the same if it had happened to one of my parents. It's heart-breaking or something in that category.

Chris, congrats on your fourth star. As you can see, I just had past 800 posts, so I have nearly 200 more to get four stars and you guys, don't call me a star chaser.

Jdirelan, you do have a nice set of rail pictures there in your railpictures. net collection. If only I could submit a dang photo to that dang website for once. I especially like your photos of the ES44DCs.

Oskar, anything new down there on CSX? Because up here CSX 8206, the 'Spirit of Bush' passed through again. Also, went I went railfanning lately, I saw my first WAMX ex- UP on an NS NORX Coal drag. It was amazing!

Well, that's basically all that's new. Enjoy!!!

He will be in my prayers and in the prayers of my chirch! That is a horrid thing for your freind and even you to go through..............

There is no set times for CSX in the city, in fact I don't even think that CSX makes to Brooklyn, I pretty sure their only job in the in Freshponds, Bronx at the Oak Point yard. I know in the summer CSX runs a trash down early in the morning (around 5am) and a general freight when ever they get around Metro-North trains on the Hudson line, so late at night or maybe (but not likely) in the middle of the day.
Also, P&W runs a stone train four or five times a week to Freshponds during the summer and CP via the StL&H use to run a very early morning train that very consistantly left Freshponds at 4:30am, however, nobody I know has seen that train since summer.

well csx does have a stations in brooklyn and they do go through brooklyn. thats a fact i have been there.

Just to be sure we are talking about Brooklyn, NY right? I'm not sure what you mean by 'station' as CSX doesn't have need for stations (perhaps a yard office?). And, if I may ask, where in Brooklyn? There is a chance that your seeing CSX lease power running on the NY&A or the Long Island, other than that I can't think of any 'X' train anywhere in the city beside Freshponds.

Now that I think about, I sure about this one thing: CSX DOESN'T SERVICE BROOKLYN

Physics exam went okay, I hope I will get the marks soon, I reaaally want to know!
Now, to tell you the truth, I'm not too sure about this Demigod guy. He's had 6 posts, all about the same thing..
Speaking of starchasers and postcounters and such, I just realised that I passed Noah in terms of posts, and now I have the most posts of anyone here! Oo Which also means I'm now on page 2 of the forum listings..whoah.
Now for the good news! I'm going up north to Jasper on thrusday morning, I might be in here before then, maybe not. But I am going to see trains! I am sure there will be plenty of my favorite locos!
BTW, I've had some pretty sweet crashes in MSTS lately, does anyone want me to post pix?

CSX is Conrail since 99 but I am confused when you said CSX cargo for a Conrail.
