Hey Bud, CN is selling off at least 10 next month. Trust me, I am in talks with CN. (yes alec, they responded, lol) But nice try James. LOL


Ya and do know that those units are being sold because the the engines in them have problems and parts and pieces need to be changed out and the engines are not in the most wonderful working order. If you wanted to get a better one you wouldn't even get the chance because there keeping them for a while longer.

Great, I have the flu. I had it diagnosed today, after my second visit. So, she said I should not go back to school tomorrow.

They're not going to sell them to you. They're going to sell them to other railroads such as the NSSR. But I doubt they even have enough money for these monsters.
20 cyclinders and quite the gas hogs. You woudn't believe the gas that thing takes in.
I like them very much and there probably the best looking and not to mention the best sounding SD's made. But like I said CN is not going to give them away for cheap.
I would like one as much as you guys since the milwaukee road was one of the leader buyers in the loco. There SD40's were also bought in large quantities.

JAMES when they donated the 700 to the museam the said it was in working order!!!!!!!!!!! And it was missing 2power assemblies and a throttle body, plus all the cab seats. Any whay they don't care who buys them als long as they have the money and pay up. plus do you really think we will be able to raise enough money to rally buy this thing??? Unless the give one up we will just have to wait. Also I thaught that you would have known that their torbochargers are wound down so the consum the same ammount of fuel as a SD40. So fuel, if the Nssr used it they woul pay for it's fuel but i doubt that if we purcased it that it would be used more than 2 times a month.

I hate thease finals I have for school. I swear the teachers get a kick out of touchureing us with them!!!

Hey Oskar, you ever seen any Mexicans such as TFM, N De M, or FXE? I know there has been a couple sightings of FXE's in the Columbus Parson's Yard. Sitting idle with UP C40-8s.

What about that weird MAERSK locomotive we may have already discussed. Have you seen it? Also, how many CSX GE ES44DCs' have you seen?

no mexican RR's but have seen a rare ONR SD40-2 on NS.

NS 3329 yeah seen it what was the purpose of painting the engine.It has a BN horn

GEVO's-about 10 all but 1 was paired up with another GEVO.

You may wonder why I'm up at 3am..well, I have just finished a physics lab, and the only online onctacts on my MSN list are two aussies and another guy who's working on this lab..

I used LimeWire sucessfully today, I downloaded 3 Triumvirat albums in full, and several songs, enough to last me four more time than I'm going to get sleep tonight!
If you're wondering, Triumvirat is a German prog rock band who speaks english and has an english accent for some reason..GN-Rick from the forums here tipped me off about it, and he was right!
Anyways, since there was a 30.7% error on my lab, I'm going to void it and go to sleep, for whatever 3 hours I can get..

James, reality check. CN wants to get rid of the WC stuff as soon as possible. Anything major happens to an SD45, like needing new pistons, if it leaks, electronics, they retire them. I think I know as I know the trainmaster and a BUNCH of engineers. And i guess your dad works for them too. CN hates the SD45, so they wont be around long. And actually the Progressive Rail has bought some.

Oskar- I have yet to see a Mexican, but I have a feeling I will this weekend. I'm going to Ohio's Willard Yard which occasionally gets Mexican power. But I'm probably just dreaming.
