TEEN RAILFAN PLACE-LET'S TALK TRAINS! Thread Locked

  • Hey guys, I have school, tomorrow, so I will say an early goooood night. Here is a website to see, as well as listen to www.phoenixsound.com I have this in my G scale RS3, and I love it. Click on sounds, and categories will come up. Click on diesel, and the first on with a picture of an FA, and the sound will play, and that is what is in my RS3. Listen to all of them including the steamers.

  • Max, I like the new sig pic. I really like the SOO paint on a GP30, and I though the WSOR did an awefully good job repainting her. Does the unit run much up at the Museum?

Well guys, had a long day, and a good one. I've been mainly working on my English project but I did take a break to go watch the WSOR local work around Reedsburg, and with the snow falling even!! I don't really expect the snow to amount to much, but you never know.

Well guys, getting late around here, and tomorrow is Monday, which means the start of five more days at the salt mines... [sight] Don't be supprised if I'm not around nearly as much this next week, with the semester ending there are at least four big projects I've got comming up, and so I'll be busy most of the time. But I'll try to stop in here a little at least though.

    See ya around,
    Noah
  • Yea it runs up at the museum.. they kinda screwed up on the control stand.. but other wise its AOK.
  • Sorry I haven't been here. My other computer was sent to my mom's company for repair and reloading. But at least my dad got the other computer set up so we're not totally out of hope. The only thing about this computer is that it won't let me input locos on rrpicturearchives.net. But I'll fix that once the other is back.

Anyways, paid a visit to Berea yesterday and the rarest I got was a four-loco set of UPs , a gray-ghost GCFX, a woman conductor on NS, and a Conrail SD40-2 on a NS Mail train whcih is pretty elusive! Also earlier that day at Medina I caught WE 3016 and 3-railcars out on the siding. Now all are uploaded on my rrpicturearchives page below.

Planning on going all-day next Saturday! Can't wait!

Oskar, just wondering, how often do you get high-numbered AC6000CWs and AC4400CWs down there for CSX?

    You know:

    CSX 5000-5016-high number AC6000CWs
    CSX 5101-5122-high-numbered AC4400CWs

Although I don't think I needed to tell you. You have got to be on of the smartest I've come across about CSX. You might even beat me!

    Talk to you guys later!

  • Boy, it's been quite in here today. I guess that's because it's Monday...

I had a long day at school. Nothing unusual, just boring and long, really long. And I got quite a but of homework tonight. And hopefully I can get a little work done on the module sometime tonight. But, time will tell.

  • You might even beat me!

Well, if he can count, he can probably beat you, as you say you have 4 railcars in the siding in your sig. School was boring, but what else is new. Just got back from B-Ball, gonna go take a shower.

  • Why does that always happen to me? Thanks for the correction Alec. I was more than likely in a hurry though because this MAC OS X sucks! It can't do anything! But I still am really smart about CSX and I'm not bragging or anything.

    News:

RRPictureArchives.net just started forums! You might want to check it out. Although, it hasn't gotten that far. Just letting you know.

  • Howdy...

I like Noah have a ton of HW, so I cant stay long at all...Max, that GP30 is nice, I rode behind it this summer!!!!
  • Howdy y'all.

There was a request that I come back here. I'll try to keep up a bit more, but I'm not used to jumping around so many forums and threads. I'll have to become better at multitasking or something.

I'm so proud of myself, I can now make those little animated train GIFs.

If any of you would like to take a look at some of my stuff, both still and animated, check out my Rail Images gallery at

  • I got to stay home today as I'm not feeling well. There is a flu going around.

Friday the thirteenth is coming up just to let you guys know.

Then I'm railfanning at none other than Berea the fourteenth! We've had some rare stuff coming through lately! Hope I see another one of CSX' Spirit Units!

Lotus- Nice drawing. I like the flag and Rio Grande Symbol in that photo. You did some nice shading.

Dock- How come you never hang out anymore? And whatever happened to oscaletrains? Just wondering.

  • That's a good question...
I haven't been here because of a huge amount of homework I have realised needs to be done!
Skiing on Saturday was awesome, and I saw a few trains, all AC4400s and SD90s.
    Sunday was pretty ho-hum...
Yesterday I got a computer desk, so now I have someplace to keep the keyboard!
And you are all complaning about snow...here we have it cold, with no snow, and there is GREEN GRASS GROWING on the front and back lawns! There is no snow, but tons of ice on the road, as I discovered this morning when I biked in. YIKES!!! It was so icy I almost crashed many, MANY times, and I was 25 minutes late fo school! I knew I was in trouble when the Alyth-Keith turn went by, 5Km before it should have...but some good motive on that one! It's one of the three around here that always enlists GP38-2s as power. Today there were 3 units, 1 more than usual, 2 beavers and CP 3084! That's the one in maroon and gray! I was lucky to catch them in a place where I could see them! 3084 was trailing.
And so now I'm here, skipping english with the excuse that the pathways were really icy and made me miss the first hour of school.
James, awesome drawing! It's good to know that there is plenty of talent here, eh? I have a double spare today, I don't have my sketchbook, but I'll see if I can bum a blank sheet of paper off of someone and get cracking on one of my own!
Richard, I know how you feel..my computer feels like it has a virus and so do I...
now I think it's time to get cracking on my homework..that was due in November..that I didn't do last night because I was running MSTS..got some great new routes, Raton, glorieta, and the RGS! Also a couple of routes around the east coast. And an SP one that refuses to boot..pity, i really like the Siskiyou line, and I thought I might be able to run it finally.
