  • Hi,
I am new to the toy train world. Could someone please tell me about some layout sites that are for free. I am looking for 027 gauge. Thank you.

That is a hard question to answer. La Crosse to Portage and Madison would be Canadian Pacific. Madison to Chicago , perhaps Wisconsin and Southern. Chicago area, depends on the route. Gary to Indianapolis, look for CSX. Indianapolis to Louisville, Louisville and Indiana. Louisville-Nashville-Chattanooga, CSX. Or Louisville-Lexington-Knoxville-Chattanooga, Norfolk Southern. Chattanooga to Atlanta, CSX. Atlanta to Valdosta, Norfolk Southern.

Are you going to play at Disney World in Orlando? When my son was in college he played in the Disney World "All-American College Marching Band" for one summer. He had to wear thick arm bands to keep his hands from getting too slippery to play his instrument. Even in the winter be prepared for heat and humidity.
