Amtrak Surfliner

I am new to Model Railroading and already I've experienced trouble in locating cars for engines. I am interested in rail cars for the Surfliner type of Amtrak that runs in Southern California. Any help in locating these type of cars would be appreciated. The current Model Railroad magazine has an excellent article on engines and companies that make the engines but I think it should have gone into who and where to locate the cars for those passenger engines.

I looked high and low for Amtrak California cars myself and the only ones I've seen are expensive brass ones.I don't remember the web site. I'd say for now until they come out with cheaper ones (unless you want to buy the brass ones) just go with the Amtrak Horizon cars made by Walthers, since the Surfliner uses them sometimes, even on occasion they use the full dome. See for youself...

Excellent advice, but you might want to post your query under the "Model Railroader" forum as well.
