For those of you following the UP3985 NW excursion, try this: go to the UP trace of the 3985, http://www.uprr.com/aboutup/excurs/trace.cfm, center your cursor on the "steam" location box and right click on it; choose properties, which will open a dialog box with the element properties in it. In the location line of that box, select the latitude & longitude portion (for example: 44.2147216796875,-123.2009506225586) and copy it. Open GoogleEarth and then paste it into the "fly to" space, hit enter, and it will take you to the 3985's location, so you can see the aerial photo of where it is. It's not real-time but at least it gives you a sense of the topography and landscape you don't get from the UP trace.
