    1. Southern Pacific!! They had lots of COFC, Stack Trains and TOFC traffic.

    2. DRGW - Lots of coal trains.

    3. BN - I liked trains like train 110.

    Chicago and Northwestern, my childhood was spent playing around their freight yards and locomotives. I miss the yellow and green.

    I'm truly amazed that the Greatest Railroad that ever existed has not been named. The Baltimore and Ohio!!!
    Also, I would LOVE to see the Western Maryland's tracks re-laid over Saulisbury Viaduct! [soapbox] Bike trail now [tdn]

    Reading, B&O, CNJ together - in terms of mutual share ownership, freight interchange, through routing and layout of key routes, they offered a lot of action and a legacy preserved in several key routes that are still in operation today (under CSX or NS).

    Santa Fe.

    Also maybe bring back a few of the private passenger trains eg Twentieth Century limited or Broadway limited or maybe have a Union Pacific passenger train.

    I agree with Geoffrey: Santa Fe. In image quality and reach, they seemed to epitomize good shipping and good passenger service. Who else would have thought of the "Turquoise Room"?

    Not to mention all those Boy Scouts who took the El Capitan to Philmont.

    [8D] TORONTO HAMILTON and BUFFALO the old TH&B (tired hungry and broke not exactly a class one road but one if no the most unique lines in the world , all those geeps running in teams in some of the most unique scenery anywhere.
