If you could bring back any fallen flag railroad, which would it be? And, what do you think they would be like today???
Among others, I wi***he BN, SP and C&NW were still around!

I wish Penn Central was still around, with how they were doing in the 1970's, it would probably be a shortline today[:D].

I have a feeling that if PC was still around...they would have sold or abandoned most (if not all) of the duplicate trackage/facilities and become profitable...just like Conrail eventually did. I still find it interesting that black diesels now roam the former CR lines around Pittsburgh.
With that said, having PC, P&LE, the Montour, MGA et al, would be a nice change from all the CSX and NS power around Pittsburgh :)

I would have to bring back the PRR. Especially those GG1s on excursion service, or even the t1s. After the PRR, i would bring back the Lehigh Valley, because of all of the C420s they owned, and then the Reading.
