  • I've drawn SD70ACes in APR, and a lot of landscapes with the line in the middle. NICE!!!
I totally forget my point in my last post, which was I didn't ride to school, I would have died! Traffic though, was backed up on the second biggest road in Calgary for 5Km from the nearest light! Holy crap, eh?

  • Here are a couple more drawings!!! The MRL and WC are SD45s. I drew in 10 minutes so they are nowhere near my finest quality but the WC got screwed up. Since I'm not a pro at drawing WCs, I sort of messed up. It looks wacky. Also, my arm was a little bit unsteady so my lines were a bit wobbly. Anyways, I drew the WC for Alec, hey, it's the thought that counts right? The sme for you, Chris!!! LOL
    Enjoy, if at all possible!!

  • Hey, very neat!!! I have tried drawing trains, I need to show you some of my work!! Very nice, take it from someone who knows SD45s, you captured their proportions well, and you did the MRL scheme very nicely!!

I once drew an F45 at speed, and an SD40, but they look odd[:I]
  • Very nice drawings, Richard! [:)]
  • Looking good again! Maybe I better dust off the ol' sketchpad, get something out here...

  • Some Nice Drawings there Richard!

For an art contest project last year I did a 2D drawing of WSOR 10C, the E unit. I superdetailed the drawing and surroundings, and I think kit came out quite well. And for an Art Contest two years ago I did a WSOR GP38 heading through a tall Rock Cut. That one didn't come out bad either. I also did a 3D clay model of WSOR 10C, and set it in a model setting like I would do a model railroad. I was really happy with how that one came out too. Sometime I will have to post pictures of this stuff.

Well guys, I am going to get going, I've got homework to do.

  • Thanks for the comments all!!! I didn't know we were all such artists!!! Guess we have a good group here, and what not! These aren't my only drawings either. I do have a drawing of CSX 601 'The Spirit of Waycross' and CSX 4685 'The Spirit of Mulberry.' I also have a couple Wheeling & Lake Erie drawings!!

AC6000, I have seen an orange CSX MOW loco- very cool- really caught my eye[:p]
  • CAR? whazzat?
So I didn't get as good a mark on my physics as hoped...*sigh* but at least I saw a train, if not close uo. It was a WB intermodal, and it was carrying one type of container, a dark blue 48 or 53. Wonder what that was....
I think that if I get time this weekend I will redo an old drawing I have of APR SD70MACs and coal, it's a great subject. Then on to SD45s!
Noah, how did you do in rhose contests?
